League Standings

Championship formats closely mirror the Chase for the Cup format, with some slight variations for ease of scoring.

How is the Chase field set?

• • Racers may be absent from (2) Regular Season points races and remain Chase-eligible

  • The Chase field is limited to 12 racers. 

  • Racers with wins are first to advance, as long minimum participation requirements are met.

  • Any remaining Chase seats, after winners have advanced, are provided to racers highest in points standing.

  • Ties for Chase advancement are broken by number of Top 10s earned in the Regular Season.  If this number is also a tie, finishing position of the cutoff race will be used to determine which racer advances.

Stages are not in use.  Points are awarded by race finishing order.

Race winners receive 46 points.  Second place receives 42 points.  Every following position receives one less point than the previous position.

The racer with the fastest in-race lap time receives 1 bonus point.

The racer who leads the most laps in a race receives 1 bonus point.

All racers who lead a lap in an event receive 1 bonus point.

Chase eligible racers start the Chase with 2,000 points. Race winners are awarded 3 points at the start of the Chase for each of their Regular Season wins. As an example, a Chase eligible racer with 5 Regular Season wins would begin the Chase with 2,015 points.

Racers will receive additional bonus points for their final position in the Regular Season Standings.  The Regular Season Champion receives 12 bonus points at the start of the Chase.  Every position after receives one less bonus point.  12th place would receive 1 bonus point.  In the same example above, if that racer was also the Regular Season Champion, he/she would begin the Chase with 2,027 points.
